The united forum of Bank-Insurance - BSNL Employees staged a protest
meeting infront of Union Bank of India, Regional Office Trivandrum
against the anti people policies of Central Government on 18.10.2012.
Com. M.M. Lawrence, Gen Secreatry, CITU inaugurated the meeting. On
his speach he said that the Central Govt is fostering Corporates at
the expense of layman. In the name of plugging the budget deficit
which is lesser than the subsidies given to coporates, the Govt is
cutting the subsidies of food grains, fertilizers, oil, gas etc which
causes price rice that make the common life unbearable.
Com. P,.V. Jose, President BEFI(K), Com. Mohanan General Secreatry
BSNLEU(K) and Com. Ganapathy Krishnan (Vice President South Zone
Insurance Employees Federation) spoke on the ocasion. All those
demanded scrapping of anti-people policies like Banking Regulation Act
Amendment Bill, FDI in Insurance, Retail Trade and Privatisation of
BSNL.
